Leaving For Uganada - January 9th
I'm all set to leave for Uganda on Saturday January 9th at 6 pm! I will be taking the redeye to London and will have a 3 hr layover before hopping on another plane to Entebbe, Uganda. My colleagues in Pader, Terry and Tesfalem will be picking me up upon arrival and the 3 of us will most likely stay local for the night and proceed to Kampala the following day. From what i've heard the drivers are a little less than cordial and the roads are not exactly flush. A couple gravol should do the trick! In all seriousness, there is a huge travel advisory warning for those driving from Kampala to the northern districts and the 3 of us really covet your prayers during this journey. Greater is He who is in you than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4) I would also ask that you pray that my baggage (5 large hockey bags full of soccer gear) will arrive in Pader without difficulty. I will continue to post a blog or two every chance I can, but it may not be too frequently as internet availability is very scarce in the Pader district.
T-minus 6 hrs to departure.
For His renown,
p.s. I apologize to those who have been text messaging me in the last 48 hours. Unfortunately the screen on my cell phone is kaput and I get all excited when I hear the msg alert but can't view anything! Useless...
