Jesus taught, "…I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you" (Matthew 17:20). The Bible urges us, "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints" (Ephesians 6:18).
Requests
1) Safe travels (#1 type of injury & death are motor vehicle accidents)
2) That I may develop meaningful & trusting relationships with those in the communities where I will be working
3) God would work mightily through the sport of soccer
4) Health & strength for the team (Terry, Tesfalem, Josephine, Francis, Richard, Rev. Kenneth, Doris, Tibideu, Patel & I)
5) For the Welfare of Children: The most horrific crimes have been committed against the children of northern Uganda and surrounding nations by Joseph Kony and the LRA; there is a desperate need for intercession and action to support these children. Pray for all children that have been enslaved by the LRA and that have been traumatized by this war to be completely healed and restored through the power of Jesus Christ.
6)For Peace to Reign in Northern Uganda and Surrounding Nations: The LRA has recently conducted raids and abductions of young children in southern Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Central African Republic. Pray for violence and injustice to be utterly halted, for child abductions to cease, and for Christ's power to bring hope, redemption, and true and enduring peace to these nations.
7) ** For my brothers-in law Ryan and Darren McConaghy and their mother May who have just lost their wonderful father and husband Dale. Pray for Gods peace and comfort to fall on them all right now.
8) As Easter is approaching we are making a push to show the "Jesus Film" in a number of villages in the district. Pray that the message of the gospel would be clear and concise and that salvation would continue to fall on the people of Pader.
9) I was recruited for the 1st squad of the Pader football team and will play with them in an upcoming tournament that will resemble Februarys football competition. Pray for me as I will be giving my testimony and talking about the Total Athlete again to over 16 teams this time. The tournament will most likely last 2 weeks!
